CONCEPT

Presenting a modular system of functional workwear pieces that are designed for a sustainable lifestyle. Informed by the primary research of observing farm workers on a self-sufficient organic farm in Pedralva, Portugal - this modular system is designed for individuals

who aspire to live a lifestyle more kind and less disruptive to our planet. Following the ergonomics of farm work, both jacket and trousers are designed to allow for continuous movement and comfort.

Research
The project was inspired by observing farm workers on a self-sufficient organic farm in Pedralva, Portugal. The casual clothing worn by the workers was not durable or protective, resulting in increased garment waste, where there is limited resources to purchase new work garments.

Development
The concept workwear is made from waterproof, UV protection and cut resistant fabrics for more efficient workflow and uses reflective panels for safety and visibility. Featuring a cooling, bio-based system that supports individuals through rising heat temperatures and garment construction that allows for more comfort and protection while working

The concept was presented at TBC* exhibition - that came together to pursue one collective and ongoing conversation on the value of physical practice and the ingenuity born from the incomplete
